Rabbi Daniel Lapin, noted rabbinic scholar, best-selling author, and
host of The Rabbi Daniel Lapin Radio Show on San Francisco’s KSFO,
is one of America’s most eloquent speakers. He is famous for his ability
to extract life principles from ancient Jewish wisdom and make them
accessible to people of every background. He is credited with encouraging
vast numbers of Christians and Jews to re-embrace their respective
faiths. Newsweek magazine included him in its first list of America’s
fifty most influential rabbis. With his wife Susan, he hosts the daily television
show Ancient Jewish Wisdom on the TCT Television Network.
He is president of the American Alliance of Jews and Christians,
(www.aajc.org), the national organization promoting Biblically-based
Judeo-Christian values and is one of America’s most compelling voices
in defense of what he calls Ethical Capitalism.
Before immigrating to the United States in 1973, Rabbi Lapin
studied Torah, physics, economics, and mathematics in Johannesburg,
London, and Jerusalem. Rabbi Lapin was the founding rabbi of Pacific
Jewish Center, a now legendary Orthodox synagogue in Los Angeles.
Rabbi Lapin is a frequent speaker for trade groups, political, social,
and civic institutions, financial conferences, organizations, and companies.
He also speaks regularly at synagogues and churches around the world.
An enthusiastic boater who has sailed his family across the Pacific
on their own boat, Rabbi Lapin lives with his wife Susan, who homeschooled
their seven children on Mercer Island, Washington.
Final Thoughts
Now that you have come to the end of this book, I have one
last lesson to impart. Taking in all of the knowledge contained
within this book has probably felt like a long journey. But
there is one more journey that this material must make. It is not a journey
from my mouth to your ears—that has already happened. It is not
the journey from your ears to your brain. Again, that has already happened.
You now know what you need to do. The final journey is for the
information and wisdom contained in this book to move from your head to your heart.
You have to now transition from knowing what to do to actually
willfully doing it. And you have to want that. It is easier for us to do
what our heart wants than what our heads tell us we should do. You
must therefore move everything you learned from this book from your
head to your heart so that you will actually want to employ the tips,
tools, techniques, and principles previously discussed.
Do this, and these biblical business secrets will become not only a part
of what you think and what you know, but also a part of who you are and
how you live. Do this and making money will no longer be an unpleasantness
to be endured for 40 to 50 hours a week. Making money will
become your calling. You will integrate your soul and your body, unite
your values with your work, and be filled with the delight of serving
God’s children each minute of your working day. You will know that each
and every dollar that flows into your bank account is yet another eloquent
witness to the effectiveness with which you have served others.
May God bless your efforts and your diligence in following
this Biblical blueprint and may bountiful abundance be your lot for all your days.
